Animation :)

I just modelled my scene for my animation, totally changed what she's gonna do...now she is a model walking down a runway, very simple I know but I might add something extra I'm gonna see how quickly I get on with animating! I really should start doing that now....

FINALLY...

Finally finished everything to do with interaction, got my sky and lights in my environment and animatic just needs to be put in flash :) so I'm a happy bunny...until tomorrow when I have to actually start animating! Not looking forward to that at all. Hopefully when my rig is finally finished the animating wont be quite as time consuming and boring and frustrating as the rigging was! Anyway here are some renders/screen shots of my environment.

Advanced Visualisation

I finally got my model skinned!! Just a few tweeks to do, time seems to be going so fast so I need to get a shift on tomorrow and begin to animate!! Also she isnt bald anymore, yay!! Here is a screen grab as she stands now in wireframe with the skeleton.

Advanced Interaction..

I nearly have my environment finished in Maya now for Advanced Interaction, it's all importing into XNA properly as well so that's a bonus!! I have handpainted all my textures then scanned them into photoshop to add some finishing touches before applying them to my models. I still have to texture the buildings and do a proper texture for the hill but other than that its nearly done, OH and also I have to add more trees but that wont take long!

I really LOVE the trees I made, although you wont see them that well I really like the effect they have from the water colours I used.

Stressssed out!!! haha

Finally got my character rigged and started skinning my model today. I actually got along quite well but now I cant seem to move the leg/skirt on the left hand side properly so I'm taking a break! Got my blend shapes done though WOOHOO!

For personal project we are working on a game for Tern TV based on a book by Matthew Fitt called But N Ben A-Go-Go. Its based in 2090 where all the world has been flooded and the survivors of the flood live on floating parishes, collectively known as Port. If you're interested you can check it out on wikipedia. I've got a LOT of research to organise. I'm trying to design a Rennie Mckintosh style cafe for the medical centre so I'll get a picture of that up soon! In the mean time I have just been doing concept art pieces so far just some stuff on photoshop really, by the end of this its looking like I'll have about four sketchbooks at least. I'm experimenting with a lot of different techniques, like, sewing into the pages, printing of digital art and drawing on top of it and using different media. :)

Animation :)

Next is probably good to talk about Animation, I'm planning on doing a female rock singer who struts herstuff on stage and when she arrives at the microphone she forgets all her words. I have started modelling her in Maya although the head and body are still in seperate files and she is bald, I'm working on getting the hair done. I'm going to start rigging this weekend and hopefully will have finished skinning by the end of the week :)
